Udupi: Kiran Rahul Fernandes, a student studying in 8th grade of Milagres English medium school Kallianpur, won gold medal in javelin and bronze medal in shot put events in the state level athletics meet for the disabled held under the aegis of the sports department of government of Karnataka in Mangaluru on December 18, 2017.

He hails from Kemman in Udupi.
