Udupi: Ashawadi Prakashan (In co-ordination with 'Divyadeepa Prakashan'), has organised 'Konkani Sambhram 2017' - a literary event on 17th December 2017 at Milagres College Kalianpur Udupi, from 10am to 1pm.

Walter Nandalike, the Editor in Chief of Daijiworld Media Pvt Ltd will be inaugurating the event, Chief guest Mr.Pascal B Pinto Permude along with other guests of honor; Dr.Austine DSouza Prabhu - Chicago, Fr.Chetan Lobo (Editor - Uzvaad) and Dr.Vincent Alva (Principal of Milagres College).

Konkani books; John Suntikoppa's 'MONI BOB (Silent Cry; Poetry)', Valley Quadras's 'MUKHAMUKHI (Face to Face; Editorials)', Dr.Vincent Alva's 'MELLYA PETTYA BHOVARIM (Arround the dead dog; Short stories)', and Poinnari.com Christmas Special Issue to be released by Melwyn Rodrigues (Sahitya Academy Award Winner), George Castelino Nakre (National Award Winner), Irene Pinto (Veteran Konkani Author).

The achievers; Dr.Austine DSouza Prabhu (International Konkani Icon), Valli Vogga (Literature - Stories), Dr.Edward L Nazreth (Literature - Articles), Gerald W Carlo (Literature - Translations), Concepta Fernandes Alva (Air - Media) will be felicitated by veterans; Gladys Rego, Jemma Padil, Dolfy F Lobo, Edi M Netto, Irene Pinto.

Fr.Chetan Lobo will deliver a literary talk on a relevant topic, which will be followed by a Poetry Recital (Kovighoshtti) to be conducted by Valley Quadras, and participated by; Richie Pereir, Melvin J Vas, Antony Barkur, John Suntikoppa, Gladys Rego, Valli Vogga, Walter Dantis, Catherine Rodrigues, Prasanna Niddodi, Antony Lewis, Geo Agrar and few others.

'Kavya-Katharang' - play based on short stories to be performed by Christopher Neenasam and group of artists from Padua College. The program starts with registration at 9:30am and ends at 1pm followed by lunch.
