Konkani recognition day in Milagres College

Udupi: Konakni was added in the eight schedule of the Indian constitution on 20th August 1992. This day was celebrated today 20-8-2018 in Mikagres College Audio Visual hall by AICUF. Prof. Melwin Rego, HOD of Sociology presided. Dr Gerald Pinto was the guest of honour and he tolled the students to carry Konkani language and tradition to next negenartion. Prof Melwin Rego appreciated the work of the students and adviced them to organize Konakni Festival for the next Konkani recognition day and assured all help .

During the occasion exhibition on Konkani Culture and poerty writing was organized and winners were given prizes.

Winners are:
Exhibition: first place : second B. Com B
Second Place: second B Com A

Poetry writing:
First: Renita D Souza second B COM
Second: Sahana Prabhau III B Sc
Third: Lavita Cardoza I B Com.

President of AICUF Vijeth D Souza welcomed the gathering. Raina of second B Com introduced the guest. Secretary Lloyd Lewis proposed the vote of thanks. Melisha D Souza of second B Com compered. Convener of AICUF Madam NIsha Crasta
