Mangaluru: "The condition of Mogaveer community in Ullal has become one like Kashmiri Pandit’s in Kashmir. If the government doesn’t control this situation BJP will stage huge protest in coming days. Raju has been killed due to communal hatred. With his murder a family has lost its main bread earner," said MLC Kota Srinivas Poojary.

He was speaking after visiting the house of slain Raju Kotian in Mogaveerapatna. He comforted the family and condemned the murder of Raju.

“I will discuss the matter with Home minister G Parameshwar and demand the arrest of the culprits and also to control the atrocities meted out on Mogaveera community” he said.

Raju Kotian’s murder came as a shock not only to his family but also to the entire Mogaveera community of Ullal as he was not involved in any violence with anyone.

The police have arrested three persons in connection with the case and search is on for other accused. Mogaveera community has demanded Rs. 50 lakh compensation to the family of Raju Kotian.
