Kundapur Kodi beach gets life

Kundapur: Thousands of people, including children and elderly, flew kites at a kite exhibition and competition organised by Gurukula Public School in Vakwadi, Koteshwar at Kodi Beach in the town on Sunday. Kannada film director Rishabh Shetty inaugurated the kite festival at 3 pm.

Bandya Educational Trust president Basrur Appanna Hegde presided over the programme. MLA Haradi Srinivas Shetty, Adani Group associate director Kishor Alva, Bandya Education Trust joint managing trustee Subhaschandra Shetty Bandya, Anupama S Shetty, actor Harish Shetty, Koteshwara Gram Panchayat president Janaki Billava and others were present.

The kite stalls had a good business as a lot of people purchased the ready-made kites. Kites of various colours and shapes crated designs on the skies of the beach. The huge kites by Mangalore Team attracted the attention of onlookers in the beach.
