Mangaluru: The lamp lighting and oath taking ceremony of the 24th batch of BSc Nursing students of SCS college of Nursing Sciences was held at KECT auditorium, Ashoknagar.
The programme was inaugurated by chief guest Mary Lasrado, nursing superintendent, Fr Muller Medical College Hospital. A heart warming welcome speech was given by Leena M Castelino, HOD, Child Health Nursing. The novice nurses received the light from the chief guest of the programme - Mary Lasrado and Prof Lolita S M D’Souza, principal, SCS College of Nursing Sciences.
In her address, Mary Lasrado spoke on the values of nursing education and to excel in academics and practice. All the novice nursing students were rendered into the profession by taking the nurses oath delivered by the principal Prof Lolita S M D’Souza. The programme concluded with vote of thanks by Swetha Kiran, HOD, Community Health Nursing.
