Last two and half years Rs. 345 crores of projects completed in Udupi Constituency - Pramod Madhwaraj Udupi MLA

Udupi: Since two and half years as Member of Legislative assembly from Udupi constituency in 12 various departments Rs. 473 crores of projects sanctioned and out of that Rs. 345 crores of projects completed, said Pramod Madhwaraj Udupi constituency legislative member during chairing a meeting of engineers of various government departments in Udupi at Udupi Taluk Office Hall on Wednesday, 16th March, 2016.

He directed all the engineers to take into confidence of the people during the undertaking of various projects and should be completed within the specified time. He said that all departmental level he will consult the respective ministers and will try to sanction various projects in the constituency. The state government had taken in favour of the projects for the development of the constituency.

During in his meeting with the engineers, he asked them to give complete report on sanctioned, completed and balance of various projects of various departments.

As like, Rs. 183.61 crores of projects were completed in Udupi Muncipalality areas and Rs. 29.11 crores of projects are in progress. In Dock department Rs. 9.33 crores of projects completed. In Fisheries Department 56.89 crores of projects competed and Rs. 6 crore projects are in progress. The engineering departments of Zilla Panchayat Rs. 9.8 crore projects were completed and 88 projects are in progress. In P.W.D department Rs. 28 crores of projects completed. Nirmithi Kendra department Rs. 13.87 crores of projects completed and Rs. 4.37 crores of projects in progress.

The engineers also said that during March 2017 the Neelavar bridge will be completed with Rs. 9 crores. For the Manipal Ambagilu state highway widening Rs. 4.4 crores are sanctioned. On 15th of April the project work of Mini Vidhan Sauda to be started.

Pramod Madhwaraj warned the officials and all concerned to complete the Fish Market project before April 15th which delay of inauguration in any circumstances not allowed. All the pending work must be completed before April 15th of this year. He said temporarily shifted fish market in Beedinagudde having terrific problems. The members of the public as well as fisherwomen need to complete PPC road fish market as soon as possible.

Madhwaraj directed the concerned engineers to complete the work of roads prior to rainy reasons starts. All the pavor finish jobs to be completed before May 15th.

Pramod Madwaraj said that the State government had sanctioned Rs. 5 crores for the construction of District Ambedkar Bhavan in Udupi. The 78 cents land to be constructed Dr. Ambedkar Bhavan at Adi Udupi The money would be released as early as possible and Ambedkar Bhavan will be constructed with all modern facilities with air conditioning.

Further he said that more compensation would be paid to those who were losing the land for widening the four lane road of Manipal Athrady stretch on Malpe Tirthahalli National Highway No 169A.

He said the establishment of small shops at a cost of Rs. 24 lakh for 24 small shops on Malpe Beach will be completed within two weeks. Engineers should take all shopkeepers into confidence about the shops on the beach.

This year compared to previous year, there was 46 centimeters more water in the Baje Dam which sufficient to the supply of drinking water to Udupi Municipal areas. MLA directed the engineers to provide drinking water near to Hanumanth Nagar, Kukkikatte and Duglipadavu areas which people are complaining of drinking water shortage of these areas.

During the meeting with various departments concerned engineers, D. Manhunathayya Commissioner of Udupi CMC, Raju Executive Engineer, Zilla Panchayat, R.S. Rathod Executive Engineer of Ports and Fisheries, PMGSY Engineer Suresh Shetty, The department of Zilla Panchayat Engineer Janardhan, District Social Welfare official Premnath and other among were present.
