Laxmi Memorial College of Nursing observes 'National Mammography Day'

Mangaluru: As part of 'Breast Cancer Awareness' month, the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of Laxmi Memorial College of Nursing observed 'National Mammography Day' at LMET auditorium, 6TH floor, A J Towers, Balmatta.

Dr Kavitha, Associate Professor cum Radiation Oncologist from A J Institute of Medical Sciences, here was chief guest and recourse person for the day. She stressed on this year’s theme 'We can I can' and spread awareness among the participants on the importance of breast self examination and how to detect early signs of breast cancer.

A total of 100 delegates were present for the programme.

A poster competition was held for nursing students of all batches and overall a total of 18 posters were presented.
