Laxmi Memorial Nursing College, institute hold graduation, annual day

Mangaluru: Laxmi Memorial College of Nursing and Laxmi Memorial Institute of Nursing observed graduation cum annual day celebration on March 11 at A J Grounds, here.

The programme began with an invocation. Dr Jenifer D’Souza, professor and HOD, department of community health nursing welcomed the gathering. Guest for the day Sumithra C N Deputy director and registrar, Karnataka Nursing Council, Bengaluru, addressed the gathering and appreciated A J Shetty for providing excellent teaching and training services to Laxmi Memorial Nursing students. She also highlighted all the opportunities available for nurses in India and abroad.

Dr Larissa Martha Sams, principal, of the college of nursing outlined the annual report. A J Shetty, president, of the college delivered the presidential address. Prashanth Shetty, vice president, and Ashritha P Shetty, director, Laxmi Memorial Education Trust gave away the prizes to the meritorius students.

Sandhya D'Almeida HOD, department of obstetrics and gynaecological nursing proposed the vote of thanks. Students performed magnificently in the various cultural programmes. The entire programme was compered by Diyona Pinto and Lora Pais assistant lecturers, Laxmi Memorial College of Nursing. Around 110 graduates were present for the graduation ceremony.
