Published On : 20 Sep 2017   |  Reported By : canaranews network

Karkala: A leopard has made its appearance again. Pet animals have become victims of the animal. Many people come for walk alone in the early morning and the evenings at Koti Chennayya theme park and Taluk sports ground here. Only selected workers are employed in hundreds of acres of land belonging to the department of horticulture. It is difficult to keep an eye on such vast land.

Forest department staff and local councilor Vinnibold Mendonca brought a cage in a Jeep with help from local people and kept in the identified place.

The Leopard has so far killed a pet dog and a cow. People are scared to move around.
