Udupi: Loyal D’Souza, of Pamboor parish in Shirva deanery was unanimously elected as President of Udupi diocesan Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) for one-year term during the Annual General Body meeting held at Don Bosco Hall, Udupi, on Sunday, 19th June, 2016.
Udupi diocesan Social Services Commission Director, Rev. Fr Reginald Pinto who was the electioneering officer conducted the proceedings.
Other office bearers: Arthur Dias Byndoor (Vice President), Eslin Laveena D’Souza Hirgan (Vice President), Felina D’Souza Moodubelle (Secretary), Onil Keith Andrade Kalmady (PRO), Don D’Souza Perampally (Treasurer), Jaston Fernandes Kallianpur – Milagres and Valilda Mendonca Miyar (Regional Representatives), Renson Rolphy Serrao Mundkoor and Lavita Joyce Cutinho (Designated members), Royston D’Souza (Kallianpur Deanery President), Vinel Delson D’Souza (Udupi Deanery President), Flexon D’Silva (Karkala Deanery President), Joyson D’Sa (Shirva Deanery President) and Lavita Pinto (Kundapura Deanery President).
ICYM Udupi diocesan Director, Fr Edwin D’Souza administered oath to the office bearers. Udupi diocesan Catholic Education Society Secretary, Rev. Fr Lawrence D’Souza was the chief guest. In his address, he said that the youth community should make optimum use of opportunity to explore their leadership qualities and serve the community selflessly.
Pavitra Menezes who is serving as Village Accountant in Kundapura was felicitated on the same occasion.
The animators Walter D’Souza and Sr Lucy and other office bearers were present.
The past president Derrick Mascarenhas welcomed the gathering.
