MBA students of St Aloysius College awarded scholarships

Mangaluru: The MBA students of St Aloysius College AIMIT Business School were privileged to be chosen for scholarships sponsored by K C Mahindra Education Trust. Nine students from the department of MBA were shortlisted to receive scholarships worth Rs 25,000 each.

An awards ceremony was organized for the same on November 25 at the college auditorium. The program was facilitated by the team from Mahindra Finance, Chandrahas Shetty – regional manager – operations, Amith H V – regional HR, Myron Clive Mascarenhas – relationship manager – direct marketing. Fr Manoj D’Silva - campus minister, Dr Rowena Wright – dean academics, staff and students of AIMIT.

The programme commenced with a prayer song. Rayan D’Souza welcomed the gathering. The scholarship cheques were distributed by Chandrahas Shetty, Amith H V and Myron Clive Mascarenhas.

Chandrahas Shetty said that providing scholarships is part of their corporate social responsibility. The K C Mahindra Education Trust was founded with an objective of promoting literacy and higher learning in the country. Since its inception in the year 1953 the K C Mahindra Education Trust has undertaken a number of education initiatives and provided more than Rs 440.34 million in the form of grants, scholarships and loans. They have made a huge difference in the lives of the deserving and needy students. He congratulated the students and wished them success for the future.
