Mangaluru: Mangaluru South MLA and Congress candidate J R Lobo has threatened to file criminal case against those who are making unnecessary allegations against him regarding KUDCEMP scam.

He had served as KUDCEMP director and was transferred in 2009, while the so called allegations of irregularities in KUDCEMP implementation were heard in 2011, 2012 and 2013. He said he was a government officer for 35 years when no allegation was heard against him. "Over 400 engineers and 70 contractors had worked under me when I was KUDCEMP officer. I am ready to face any probe if anyone among them calls me corrupt," said Lobo.

He also stated that it was not proper to make such allegations merely for electoral gains and advised those levelling allegations to file complaint with Lokayukta.

Former mayor Mahabala Maarla, DK Youth Congress President Mithun Rai and other leaders were present at the press meet.
