Mangaluru: Participating in a Janasamparka Sabhe organised at Town Hall here, Mangaluru South MLA J R Lobo said that he will be holding ward-wise Janasamparka Sabheto have a close interface and problem solving system in the city.
MLA Lobo said the meetings at ward level will be conducted in the evening hours to enable people, mainly working couples for whom it would be not possible to stay back in the house, without work during morning hours, for they would be struggling hard to make ends meet. The response for such meetings in rural areas is encouraging and people come with their woes.
MLA Lobo distributed cheques to beneficiaries under various social security schemes totalling Rs 4.3 lakh, financial aid towards funeral expenses, that has been increased from existing Rs 1,000 to Rs 5,000 and one-time financial assistance under Fisheries Department to two eligible beneficiaries totalling Rs 3 lakh.
