MLC Ivan D'Souza encourages sportsman spirit among SAC students at sports meet

Mangaluru: The 139th annual sports meet 'Rise as One' of St Aloysius P U College was inaugurated at St Aloysius Gonzaga grounds.

63 batches along with the PTE committee marched on the occasion. Sports representatives participated in the solemn torch run. The sports meet was declared open by the chief guest Ivan D'Souza, MLC- Government of Karnataka.

Speaking on the benefits of sports and games, Ivan D'Souza encouraged the students to participate wholeheartedly, with commitment and to accept defeat and success with a sportsman spirit as this will help students face challenges and manage success.

In his presidential address Fr Dionysius Vaz SJ, rector of St Aloysius Institutions, congratulated the students and the PTA for the wonderful march past and advised the students to participate in all events the with dedication, determination and desire.

Charlotte D'Souza vice principal Commerce and Arts welcomed the gathering and Naveen Kumar, physical director proposed the vote of thanks.

Present on the dais were the Principal, Fr Melwim Mendonca SJ, Finance officer of SAPUC Fr John Lang Bosco, G M Vice Principal Science and Physical director Muralikrishna, Usha A J.
