Belthangady: Dakshina Kannada MP Nalin Kumar Kateel has lashed out at the state government for its proposal to supply Netravathi water to Bengaluru. Nalin said the project was not aimed at supplying drinking water but was intended to supply cash to Congress leaders through Bengaluru-Mangaluru pipeline.

To a question, if he had dropped the fight against Yettinahole project, Nalin replied that he was always by the side of the protestors. All movements which are fought in right spirit will be supported, he said and regretted the lack of good response from the public towards the movement.

On rumours that he may contest from Puttur during the next assembly polls, Nalin said there was no question of contesting Assembly polls when people have blessed him by electing him as MP.
