Belthangady: Dakshina Kannada MP Nalin Kumar Kateel has accused the state government of not paying heed to the non-violent means of protest against Yettinahole project so far. Panchatheertha and Sapta Kshetra movement will be held against the project on December 10, he said.

"The fight against Yettinahole Project was underway since two years and the Chief Minister had developed an adamant and apathetic attitude towards the same. He could have at least convened a meeting of elected representatives of the region for the sake of formality. CM has given a go ahead to the project despite the Green Bench order,"Nalin said.

"I want to make it clear that this is not a movement of the BJP but a united fight. The Ratha Yatre will be held on December 10 as part of social awareness drive. A one month’s deadline will be given. A meeting should be held by then or the project should be stopped. If the government fails to heed to the demand then they themselves would be responsible for any repercussions," he warned.
