MPL selection match to be held on Sep 11

Mangaluru: The selection process for the talented cricket players for the Mangalore Premier Legue-2016 is underway. The selection match for ‘C’ category players will be held at St. Aloysius College Centenary ground on September 11, 2016.

“More than 500 players from the Mangalore Zone (Udupi, Mangalore and Kodagu districts) have registered to play in the MPL” said Balakrishna Parkala, Chief Cordinator of MPL in a press meet held at the Press Club today.

Among them the organizers have categorized 48 players to ‘A’ group, 36 players to ‘B’ group. The list of the A and B group players will be announced through the website –www.krcaindis.comand www.facebook.com/mplofficial.

The Mangalore Premier Legue will be held from December 17 to 31 at B R Ambedkar Stadium, Panambur, Mangaluru. MPL organzers have selected Astro Turf which is friendly for both spin and fast bowling and also for batting.
