Mahesh High School celebrates ‘Vanamahotsava Day’

Mangaluru: The annual celebration of ‘Vanamahotsava Day’ was marked at Mahesh High School, Kottara Chowki, here on Thursday.

The chief guest of the programme, Rakesh Salian, chief accountant of Aryan Foundation, spoke on the advantages of planting saplings. He stressed the importance of environment.

Students hung sign boards on plants, marking the significance of the day.

Suriah Simran and Jhanvi led the gathering in prayer. The headmistress of the school Deepali Shenoy, teachers and students were present on occasion. School leader Fransten Chris D’Souza welcomed the gathering. Sports leader Ashwij B R proposed the vote of thanks.
