Man arrested for trying to rape minor girls

Puttur: A 40-year-old man tried to rape two girls going to school and also posed life threat to them in Mogru . The man has been identified as Saleem. He has been arrested.

Uppinangady police, who have registered the case under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, have taken the accused into custody.

When the girls were going to school on Wednesday morning, Saleem reportedly obstructed them and tried to rape them. He also threatened them with murder if they revealed to their respective families about the incident.
