Man crushed to death by lorry

Mangaluru: In a tragic incident, a man was crushed to death at Jeppinamogaru on the night of Tuesday. The deceased has been identified as Babu Ballaya (40), a resident of Jeppinamogaru.

The accident took place when a lorry with a national permit (KL-02-AN-7779) dashed into Babu's scooter. The lorry was plying towards Kasargod, while Babu was riding from Pumpwell towards his house in Jeppinamogaru.

Babu was also riding in the same direction as the lorry. The lorry driver suddenly changed lane and dashed into Babu's scooter's handle. Babu lost control and came under the lorry's tyre, getting crushed to death on the spot. A case has been registered.
