Puttur: The Post Graduate Department of Economics of St Philomena College Puttur in association with Mangalore University Economics Association organized an inter-collegiate Economics Fest ‘ECOZENITH 2019’ on March 1, 2019 in College auditorium.
The Secretary of Mangalore University Economics Association Dr Roopa K inaugurated the Fest and delivered the inaugural address. She said, ‘In the present day scenario, we find a slight decline in the demand for BA Degree Course. The students and parents have to realize the actual potentiality of the Course and give their support for the sustainment of the Course in the future years.’
The Campus Director and Chairperson of Centre for PG Studies of the College Rev. Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro participated as the chief guest and expressed the best wishes.
The Principal Prof. Leo Noronha delivered the presidential address.
The convener Mrs. Mahitha kumari M, Faculties of the Department Dr Manjula B C, Mr. Pradeep K S, Mrs. Sandhya H, and Ms. Navyashri were present on this occasion.
This Fest consisted of Color Painting, Elocution, Model Presentation, Quiz, Theme dance and Product Launch. Twenty six teams from various colleges affiliated to Mangalore University have participated in these events.
Ms. Jayashree and team performed the prayer. The Coordinator of the Department Prof. Dinakara Rao welcomed the gathering. The Student President Ms. Shabana P proposed the vote of thanks. Ms. B T Sowmya compered the programme.
