Udupi: Inter Collegiate Mangaluru University level Table Tennis Tournament inaugurated at Milagres Tri centenary Table Tennis courts on Monday, 19th September, 2016 which was organized by Milagres College, Kallianpur and Mangalore University.
The formal tournament was inaugurated by Anil Poojary International Body Builder and Alumnus of Milagres College by traditionally lighting the lamp. The chief guest was Smt Shika Shetty also National level Weight Lifter and also Alumnus of the college.
Dr. Gerald Pinto presided over the inaugural programme. Rev Fr. Prakash Anil Castelino, Campus Director, Gerald D’Souza, Director of Physical Education Department, University of Mangalore, Augustine Dias, former retired PD of the College and Dolwin Dias, Physical Director of Milagres College were present on the dais.
International Body Builder Anil Poojary and National level Smt. Shika Shetty were felicitated with a shawl, garland and momento.
In his address Fr. Prakash Anil said that Sincerity will shine tomorrow which sportsmen’s spirit. He wished the participants for the better play with better competition of the game.
Mrs. Shika Shetty also spoke during the occasion. Dr. Gerald Pinto gave his presidential address. The inaugural programme began with an invocation. Dr. Jayaram Shettigar welcomed the gathered. Bhenson Lewis proposed vote of thanks. Prof. Joseph Fernandes compered the programme.
