Mangaluru: St Aloysius B. Ed College observes Karnataka Rajyotsava

The 66th Karnataka Rajyotsava Day was observed here with great enthusiasm and fervour. The celebration began with the invoking of God’s blessings through a song led by Harish Kumar. In the presidential address Dr Farita Viegas, Principal of the College said, Karnataka is best known for its rich cultural and biodiversity. The culture of the state is interwoven with varied elements. She emphasized the role of teachers today as the true and the inspiring leaders for the students. The foundation day of the state indeed, a day of joy, a day to love and respect the state. This celebration helps people to inculcate the spirit of respecting diversity, tolerance and taking pride in being an Indian.

The celebration consisted of reading the significance of Rajyotsava and Musical Rendition. The programme concluded with the singing of the State Anthem. Visma D’Mello compered the programme.
