Mangaluru: The second edition of Herbal Medicinal book “Amrit Tujya Hatim…” released at Bethany Provincialate Vamanjoor

Mangaluru: “ Amrit Tujya Hatim…” A new edition of “ Amrit Tujya Payantalla… “ a Herbal Medicinal book containing 150 rare species of herbal plants was released recently at the Bethany Provincialate, Vamanjoor authored by Sr. Agnesia Frank, B.S. on the occasion of Province Day, in memory of their Patron Saint, Mother Mary.

The book was released by Rev. Sr. Cicilia Mendonca B.S. (Provincial Superior, Mangalore Province), in the presence of Sr. Lilitta B.S., (The General Councilor of Bethany congregation) Sr. Roshell B.S. (Vice Provincial) and Provincial Councilors namely; Sr. Mariola D’Souza B.S., Sr. Anna Maria B.S., Sr. Shubha B.S. and Sr. Lizzie B.S. (Province Procurator).

Sr. Dr. Wilma Aranha gave brief Intro of Sr. Agnes Frank B.S. to the congregation present on the auspicious day and highlighted her various achievements throughout her career as a Social Activist and as a trained teacher. She also narrated briefly how close she is with the nature and how she tries her best to preserve ecology on all its form. She has also trained several social workers and multiplied leadership to enable the poor people to join the main stream and importance of rare species of herbs to colleges, institutions and SHG Sr. Agnesia has also have conducted various seminars on subjects such as Women Empowerment, Integrated community Health, Sacredness of Sex Education and Importance of Holistic Human Growth.

Sr. Agnes Frank was honoured on the auspicious occasion by Sr. Lilitta B.S., with a shawl followed by a garland, fruit basket and a citation by Rev. Sr. Cicilia Mendonca B.S and other guests on dais.

Sr. Agnes Frank expressed her feelings upon receipt of her honour and thanked each and every one who was instrumental in bringing out this wonder book of Herbal medicine (ASM) which she said every household should have in their homes. She wishes that this book reaches every nook and corner of the village who cannot access nor afford the allopathic medicine within their reach. This low cost medicine might help the poor prevent and promote their rich health
