Mangaluru, Aug 29: The department of psychology and clinical psychology at St Agnes Centre for Post-Graduation Studies and Research, Mangalore, officially inaugurated the two day workshop on Solution Focused Brief Counseling, facilitated by Dr. Jaseem Koorankot, Assistant Professor of Department of Clinical Psychology, IMHANS, Government Medical College, Kozhikode, renowned practioner and founder of the association for Solution Focused Practices - India.
The inaugural ceremony was initiated by a prayer song followed by a welcome speech rendered by Ms. Unnimaya Madhu, who welcomed the respected guest of honor, the other dignitaries, and students gathered at the venue. The chief guests of honor were welcomed formally with a packet of seeds, as part of the go green initiative.
Mrs. Deepa Kothari further introduced the honorable chief guest to the gathering.
Sr. Dr. Jeswina AC, Principal of St Agnes College mentioned the need and prominence of the workshop and how it shall benefit the students in enhancing their professional skills and in turn the society, in her inaugural address. She also congratulated the department of psychology and clinical psychology, staff and students for coming up with such a thoughtful initiative.
The inaugural ceremony came to an end with the vote of thanks proposed by Ms. Sijourney Elayne Fernandes. The entire inaugural ceremony was efficiently compered by Ms. Ann Hormis Tharakan.
