Milagres Cathedral Catechism Day celebrated with visit of Holy Places

Udupi: The Catechism Day at Milagres Cathedral celebrated with one day pilgrimage to Holy places at St. Anthony Shrine of Kerekatte, near Siddhapur of Kundapur and Sri Mukambika Temple, Kollur.

Around hundred students with Catechism teachers of the Milagres Educational Institutions reached the Holy Shrine of St. Anthony, Kerekatte. The programme started with the confessions at the Shrine. The way of the cross was conducted by Very Rev Fr. Xavier Pinto, Rector of St. Anthony Shrine and former Vicar of Milagres Church, Kallianpur.

The Eucharistic mass was concelebrated by Very Rev Fr. Stany B. Lobo, Rector of Milagres Cathedral and Correspondent of Milagres Educational Insitutions, Rev Fr. Rolwin Aranha, Asst. Parish Priest of Milagres Cathedral, Rev Fr. Xavier Pinto and with the participation of Deacon Denis Miranda.

The quiz competition was held with the stewardship from Rev Fr. John Mendonca, resident priest of the Shrine at Kerekatte.

In the afternoon, the students left to Sri Mukambika Temple, Kollur on the way to Maravanthe Beach.

The Catechism day was celebrated with a visit of Maravanthe beach at evening prior to sunset of the day. The Catechism day filled with devotion at St. Anthony Shrine, Kerekatte, visit of historical temple of Kollur and fun and enjoyment at Maravanthe Beach near Kundapur. On the way, as part of the Catechism Day celebration, a visit to Thrasi church of the Udupi Diocese was also done.

Along with the students, priests, nuns and teachers the Catechism Day celebrated with devotion, fun and entertainment.
