Milagres Cathedral Kallianpur inaugurated Sunday Catechism Classes

Udupi: Sunday Catechism for the academic year 2016/17 was inaugurated on Sunday, 12th June, 2016 at Milagres Cathedral, Kallianpur.

The inauguration was held by placing the Holy Bible on a honoured place and Very Rev Fr. Stany B. Lobo, Rector of the Cathedral placed the lighted lamps beside the Holy Bible. Then the students of 1st Standard to 10th standard along with their Catechism teachers lit the lamps given by the priest which the students kept their lesson (teachings – Sunday catechism theme) class wise in front of lighted candles, which sense the students to walk in the light of Jesus throughout the year. Sr. Diana of Rose Convent guided in the preparation of catechism classes inauguration ceremony.

Very Rev Fr. Stany B. Lobo main celebrant of the mass along with Rev Fr. Rolwin Aranha resident priest celebrated the Eucharistic celebrations. During his homily, he pointed out the divine Mercy of the Lord. We should repent for our sins and should change our life on the path of Jesus Christ.

Earlier, prior to the start of the inauguration of Sunday Catechism classes, teacher Cecilia gave an introduction. Teacher Eugine Rebello the coordinator of Sunday Catechism classes guided the inauguration of Sunday Catechism Classes with extra ordinary sense. The Liturgy of the mass was conducted by catechism students beautifully.
