Milagres Church completes renovation project

Our Lady of Miracles church popularly known as Milagres church had begun the church renovation last year. The work happened in two phases. As a part of the second phase the church flooring which had collapsed due to the loose soil underneath was redone.

Most Rev Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza, emeritus bishop of Mangalore presided over the celebration and blessed the renovated flooring during the mass. Msgr Maxim Noronha the vicar general of the diocese preached the homily and exhorted everyone to pray and make prayer an essential part of our Christian life. He said that if we persevere in prayer we become closer to God and God wants us to be close. Jesus during his ministry taught his disciples to pray and He calls all of to pray with persistence.

After the solemn mass Fr Bonaventure Nazareth thanked all the donors, the well wishers, parishioners, the engineers and workers who made this work possible. The dean of Episcopal city deanery V. Rev Vincent Monteiro, priests from the deanery along with the parish clergy concelebrated the solemn mass.
