Milagres College holds awareness programme on ‘Green India Mission’

Mangaluru: Eco and Life Science Association of Milagres College organized an awareness programme on ‘Green India Mission.

The program was inaugurated symbolically by watering a plant as action of nurturing Mother Nature. Dr Bharathi Prakash, HOD of Microbiology at University College Mangaluru, was the chief guest of the programme. She stated that students need to play an important role in preserving nature by understanding consequences faced by the mother earth due to lack of forest land. She also asked the students and faculty to join hands in govt funding projects that aims at preserving bio-life.

Fr Michael Santhumayor gave the presidential note who emphasized over taking small initiatives that eventually help building up better future. The adjunct faculty Prof Lourdswamy addressed the gathering and asked to minimize usage of plastic in the campus.

Co-ordinator of Eco and Life Science Association Melwin D’Souza welcomed the gathering. Neha K Salian of I BSc FND compered the programme.
