Milagres Educational Institutions celebrated Teacher's Day.

Udupi: Milagres Educational Institutions organized “Teacher’s Day” at Milagres Tri-centenary Hall, Kallianpur here on Friday, 4th September, 2015.

Very Rev Fr. Stany B. Lobo, Correspondent of the Milagres Educational Institutions presided the occasion. Rev Fr. Lawrence C. D’Souza, Secretary of Catholic Educational Society, Udupi ® was the chief guest. All the teaching and non teaching staff of Milagres Kindergarten School, St. Joseph’s Higher Primary School, Milagres English Medium Higher Primary School, L.V.P. Higher Primary School, Milagres High School, Milagres English Medium High School, Milagres Pre University College, Milagres College, Milagres Post Graduate College were honoured by the Rev Fr. Lawrence C. D’Souza.

Prior to the programme, the great three people who served outstanding during their life Mother Theresa, Radhakrishnan and A.P.J. Abdul Kalam were remembered during the occasion.

Dr. Mahabaleshwar Rao great thinker, Educationist, writer, Principal of Dr. TMA Pai B.Ed. College was the resource person. During his address, he felt that some of the teachers do not have handful wages and struggling for permanent job in the school or colleges. He pointed out some of the characters of Radhakrishnan, Mother Theresa and APJ Abdul Kalam. Dr.Herald Monis HOD in commerce spoke briefly on account of Teacher’s Day.

All heads of the Milagrean Institutions were present on the dais. Earlier, Very Rev Fr. Stany B. Lobo welcomed the gathering. Various games were conducted by Herald D’Silva of St. Joseph’s School. The cultural programme was organized by St. Joseph’s and LVP Higher Primary School. Florine D’Souza Headmistress of LVP delivered vote of thanks. The beautiful programme was compered by Herald D’Silva of St. Joseph’s School.

Udupi: Milagres Educational Institutions jointly celebrated Milagreans Teachers’ Day ON 6th September, 2016 at Milagres Tri-centenary Hall with great enthusiasm and unity.

 Very Rev Fr. Lawrence C. D’Souza, Secretary of Catholic Educational Society of Udupi (CESU) presided over the programme. Ashok Kumar Shetty Alumni of Milagres College, District, state and National level awardee and Headmaster of Sriniketan High School near Brahmavar was the chief guest. Very Rev Fr. Stany B. Lobo, Correspondent of Milagres Edcuational Institutions, Rev Fr. Anil Prakash Castelino Campus Director, Dr. Gerald Pinto Principal of Milagres College, Savitha Hebbar Principal of Milagres PU College, Rev Fr. Victor Fernandes Principal of Milagres English Medium Schools, Paul Lobo Headmaster of Milagres High School, Sr. Susheela Montiero Headmistress of St. Joseph Higher Primary School, Florine D’Souza Headmistress of LVP Higher Primary School, Veera D’Silva Headmistress of Milagres English Medium Higher Primary School and Rev Fr. Rolwin Aranha Asst. Parish Priest of Milagres Cathedral were present on the dais.

The gathering started with an invocation. Very Rev Fr.Stany B. Lobo gave key note address and welcomed the gathered. All the teachers’ of seven Milagres Educational Institutions were honored with memento and rose by Rev Fr. Lawrence C. D’Souza.

In his motivational address, Ashok Kumar Shetty said that the importance of role of a teacher in their lives and with how much encouraged students to dedication and devotion on the path of truth and what is their responsibility towards the students and the society as well. He remembered his former lecturers of the Milagres College while his college education during in his address with emotion. He appreciated some of the teachers in his time at Milagres College.

In his presidential remark, Fr. Lawrence D’Souza pointed out the contribution made by the teachers of the various institutions of Milagres and for their devotion for the cause of the education and for the better society indeed.

Milagres PU College teachers led various programmes like solo singing by lecturers and sensible silent dance by PU Students were held during the occasion. Florine D’Silva Lecturer in History conducted various spot games. Prizes were distributed to the winners’ of games.
Savitha Hebbar proposed vote of thanks while Lolita D’Souza Lecturer in Chemistry compered the programme with Milagrean style of excellence. Around two hundred faculty of various seven Milagres Educational Institutions gathered with exchange of good wishes and mouthful sweet refreshments.
