Mission Sunday 2019 at Most Holy Redeemer Church, Derebail

World Mission Sunday is observed on the 20th of October this year. On this day entire Church around the World come together to Pray, Contribute and Support the Mission of spreading the Word.

Mission Sunday at Most Holy Redeemer Church, Derebail was celebrated on the 19th and 20th of October, 2019. On the 19th (Saturday) after the Eucharistic celebration at 05:00 PM (Konkani) an auction was conducted. Food and Game stalls were also open for people. Chicken Biryani for individuals/families, Shawarma and much more was sold at the counters.

On the 20th (Sunday) Holy Eucharistic Celebration was held at 05:30 AM (Konkani), 07:00 AM (Konkani) and 09:15 AM (English). Auction was conducted after both 07:00 AM and 09:15 AM mass. Games and food counters were open to all. Chicken Biryani was also available.

The Youth of Derebail Parish, Couples for Christ and other volunteers worked relentlessly before and on the day of Mission Sunday. Mr. Vincent Rebello conducted the entire Auction.

Rev Fr Austin Peter Peres - Parish Priest, Rev Fr. Gratian Alvares - Residential Priest, Parish Pastoral Council Members, All the Parish Association Members, Volunteers and all the Parishioners contributed their best to make this Mission Sunday 2019 a grand success.
