‘Mogaveers Helpline’ organized fabulous Badminton Tourney at Mangala Indoor Stadium Mangalore

Ladyhill, Mangaluru: The ‘Mogaveers Helpline’, an International Community Service Forum has recently organized the ‘Mogaveers Only Badminton Tournament’ at Mangala Indoor Stadium in Mangalore.

In the Opening Ceremony Chief Coordinator Mr. Shirish Kumar has delivered the keynote address and welcomed the guests and gathering. Mr. Santhosh Kumar Hosbet briefed about the objectives of the Forum and Mr. Lakshaman Kanchan has also spoken on this occasion. Mr. Kamalaksha Amin, Bolar [International Power-Lifter] has inaugurated the event and wished the event every success. Key Officials Ms. Sevanthi Shriyan, Mr. Venugopal Puthran and Mr. Surendra Shriyan, also Mogaveera frontrunner Mr. Nithin Kumar were present on the dais.

 

Nearly 50 male and female badminton players of different age groups have participated in this tournament. Badminton lovers and other enthusiasts including some from Bombay, Bangalore, Dubai, Oman and Bahrain were in the crowd and in the contest to have real fun and regale of this wonderful day-long tournament. The total contest was spectacular with all the contestants playing superbly in singles and doubles category.

After exhibiting their stunning talent in this badminton tourney, the following players have won the titles in the breathtaking final clashes. Mr. Lokanath Bolar [International Power-Lifter] was the Chief Guest in the Post-Match Presentation Ceremony and distributed the prizes to these winners jointly with some other guests who were present on the stage.

Men’s Singles: Winner – Dheeresh. Runner up - Ravichandra
Women’s Singles: Winner – Suhana. Runner up - Poorvi
Men’s Doubles: Winners - Dheeresh & Jnanesh. Runners up: Suhal & Sujan.
Women’s Doubles: Winners - Poorvi & Harshitha. Runners up - Rishitha & Pratheeksha.


Besides, as a befitting gesture some of the famed Sportspersons viz. Mr. Vijaya Kanchan [International Power-Lifter], Ms. Nayana Shriyan [International Power-Lifter], Ms. Bhanumathi Mendon [International Power-Lifter], Dinesh Kunder [International Athlete’s Coach] and Ms. Shreema Priyadarshini [International Athlete] were honoured in the Valedictory Ceremony. All these achievers were honoured by different guests and Forum Officials. Mr. Dinesh Kunder has delivered the reply speech on behalf of all the achievers who have received the honour.

In all, it was a magnificent badminton event which usually organized rarely and hardly watched in larger format. Thus, it mesmerized both the contestants and the sports lovers and hence the game-spirit was existent everywhere throughout the tourney. Well-Known Sports Expert Ms. Sevathi Shriyan has overseen the complete contest and delivered vote of thanks at the end. In the Closing Ceremony, another key Official Mr. Guruprasad Padubidri briefed about the present and future plans of the Forum. Renowned presenter Mr. Yashavanth Boloor has hosted the stage programmes of both segments. Some of the generous and spirited members of the community based locally and abroad have jointly sponsored this superb sports event which will surely be remembered by one and all for a long time.
