Mangaluru: MLC Mohiudeen Bava demanded to withdraw the inclusion of pictorial warning up to 85% in Beedi packets as it affects beedi workers who are highly dependent in the coastal part of the state.

Speaking about the issue, he said,"This issue has to be brought to the notice of MP and labor Minister. The inclusion of pictorial warning has highly impacted on beedi manufacturers."

"People of Dakshin Kannada district are suffering due to the pictorial warning as sales are going down. The labourers are getting affected themost as their income has fallen drastically," he added.
