Mother and son lose life in accident

Kundapur: An Alto carlost control, crossed the divider and hit Insulator vehicle approaching from the opposite side at Kota Mooru Kai on Tuesday afternoon. The deceased are Barkur Bennekudru residents Girija (52) and her son Avinash (27).

The car was on its way from Saligrama to attend in a programme near Kota. The car lost control while avoiding a collision with a bike approaching from the opposite direction and hit the insulator vehicle after crossing the divider.

Four people in the car were seriously injured. The injured were taken to Manipal hospital but the mother and the son among them died without responding to the treatment. The remaining two injured are being treated in the hospital.

The car has been completely damaged.
