Mangaluru: Release of MUNDKUR DODDAMANE FAMILY DIRECTORY recently was applauded as a Land mark in the history of 400 year old family as praised by Shri Shri Shri Eeasha Vithaldas Swamiji, from Sandhipani Sadhanashrama Shri Kshetra Khemaru,as he gave blessings to the august gathering of more than 500 family members of Mundkur Doddamane present on the occasion at family house. He further said I have been invited for many of such family occasions wherein I was honoured and also honored many such great personalities, but today for the first time I liked the fact that I honored the members of this esteemed family, who were more than 75 years old with shawl. He further said, He felt great to Honour also some of ACHIEVERS (SADHAKARU) in different strata of Life & Made a Niche of themselves, from the said family, whom the Editorial Team of Directory, made an effort to reach out to them who are settled across the globe.

The Family trust had done Jeernodhara (refurbish) of 400 year old Main Deity Dhoomavati also other Nagabana, Vana Durgi in April 2015. This year they celebrated the 1st Pratishta Vardhanti Day, said President, Dr N S Shetty (Doctorate in Agriculture, with a career across the globe & Post Retirement, he is now Emeritus Professor, in K.S Hegde Institute of Management, Nitte) & Ramana Shetty, Yajamana of this family.

Vedamoorthi Shri Ramadasa Acharya, also praised the family members for their unity.

The Keynote speaker on the occasion was Mr Shri Kadri Navaneeeta Shetty, from Times Of India, Mangalore. He spoke about the old Hindu Undivided Family system which has diminished in the wake of latest nuclear single family pattern, as these days people go for their career far off from their route of family house and settle with individual family. He praised the Mundkur doddamane family for gathering on this occasion, had presence of family members settled in far off places like Mumbai, Pune, even one member, Mr Mohan Hegde, came from Cincinnati in USA specially for this event.

Special Invitees, politicians Smt Reshma U Shetty, from Udupi Zilla Panchahyat Belman, & Smt Shubha P Shetty, President, Mundkur Grama Panchayat, felt happy being part of such a great event.

The event had a sports day too for children, men and ladies members of the family, Mr Navneet Shetty, gave did the prize distribution, Dance performance by children from the family, finally ending with a Bhakti Pradhana Drama, “MUNDERDAPPE ULLALDI”, written by Kadri Navneeta Shetty, Direction Jeevan Ullal, lead by Ln Kishor D Shetty, wherein Mr Sharath Shetty, active member of Mundkur Doddamane family trust, dramatist, freelancer journalist acted in the drama.

The Editor, Dr Vasanth Shetty, gave a brief introduction of Making of Directory, praising the active members involved, specially Mala Shetty quoting her as “Computer Wizard” as these days public medias/Apps lead to create Gap between the Family, as people are Immersed in these chats. Whereas Mala used these Apps like Whats App, Messenger & Websites like Facebook, to collect Data, Contact No Address and names of family members and their education/career etc. for making This Directory complete in record time with fullest Details. Vasanth also thanked one more Teacher Late Gopala Shetty, as he had made a written data about family some years back and dreamt of making such directory but could not do so.

Dr N S Shetty, mentioned one Senior Citizen, Mrs Shanta Hegde, as she always wanted the temple to be rebuild and also make family members meet at their route family house, so that all will know about each other. He also thanked some of the most active Trustee Members, Shrikant, Roopraj, CA Ashok, Kishorekumar & Ganesh Shetty from Pune.
