NSS camp orgainsed from Nov 25

Mangaluru: The NSS unit of Besant Women’s College is organizing an NSS annual camp at DKZP Govt Higher Primary School, Kodman, Bantwal taluk from November 25 to December 1.

The tagline of the camp will be ‘Youth for Science and Scientific temperament’. The camp will be inaugurated by Dr Ganesh V Bhat, principal, Canara Engineering College, Benjanapadavu on November 25 at 3.00 pm.

The inaugural ceremony was presided over by Manel Annappa Nayak, vice president. Women’s National Education Society, College correspondent K Devananda P and principal Dr Sathish Kumar Shetty P, were also present on the dias.

Sessions on youth and changing mental attitude, leadership and social service, lecture, demonstration and Q & A session, discussion with the old students and sports events for the campers were conducted during the camp.

Construction of school ground and kitchen garden, environmental protection, personality development and information on need for developing scientific temperament are the camp projects said professor Jayashree, associate professor, department of commerce, Besant Women’s College.
