New Netravathi river-front ring road to have a bicycle track: Lobo

Mangaluru: Mangaluru South MLA J R Lobo said that the proposed new road on the banks of the Netravathi from the Netravathi bridge on National Highway 66 to Kannur on National Highway 75 would also have a bicycle track.

He was speaking after laying the foundation stone for construction of Yekkur-Tochila Road at a cost of Rs. 1 crore here. He said that the government laid stress on improving connectivity in rural areas and hence, roads are being constructed.

For the new road on the banks of the Netravathi, the Public Works Department has ordered a survey at a cost of Rs. 25 lakh through the initiative of Minister concerned H.C. Mahadevappa.
