Doha: Record-breaking Konkani movie 'Noshibacho Khell', after more than 300 successful shows in India, will be screened in Doha-Qatar on Friday, January 13 at the Westend Park Cinema, Asian Town Industrial Area at 3.30 pm.
Konkani community of Qatar will be the first one to witness the movie among the Gulf countries and also meet and interact with the producer Henry D'Silva and actors Ester Noronha and Elton Mascarenhas.
'Noshibacho Khell' has been directed by Bollywood-Bhojpuri-Marathi fame Harry Fernandes Barkur, written and produced by Henry D'Silva Suratkal, under the banner of Kanarites Youth Association, Mumbai Films Pvt Ltd (KYAM). Elton Mascarenhas and singer Ester Noronha are in male and female lead roles. Other actors are Prince Jacob(Goa), Ranjitha Lewis, Clenvin Fernandes, Sujata Andrade, Stany Alvares and Alwyn Andrade. The movie has been picturized in Film City, Bhajanlal Studio Naigaon, Pallotti Church Andheri (E), M K Shah Jewellers Chira Bazar, Rony Govius' Skylink office J B Nagar, Andheri(E), Nandanvan Studio, Mud Island and in other places.
As there are limited movies in the Konkani cinema, this movie has been produced to wipe away the lack of good movies in Konkani. It's a family entertainer and has a storyline of rural life, love and mystery. Shooting has been done at Barkur, Sastan, Kalangan and Mangaluru, Coastal area.
Organizing committee appeals to all Konkani lovers in Doha to watch the movie in order to support and promoting Konkani language and keeping the language alive in Qatar. The proceeds of the movie will go towards the education of needy children in Mangaluru.
