Novena at St Jude Shrine Pakshikere begins with unfurling of flag

Mangaluru: The nine-day novena prior to the annual feast of St Jude Shrine Pakshikere started with the unfurling of St Jude’s flag held here at the church premises on Friday.

Fr Basil Vas, parish priest of Madanthyar Church hoisted the flag and said, “It is my pleasure to be a part of this celebration.”

The first day novena began as a preparation for the feast of St Jude at 9.00 am with the praise and worship, followed by Eucharistic celebration, novena and adoration.

Fr Basil Vas conducted the ceremony.

Meals prepared by St Jude ward members, were served to the pilgrims.
