Office of Additional Director of Income Tax inaugurated

Mangaluru: B R Balakrishnan, DG of Income Tax (investigation), Karnataka and Goa region inaugurated the Office of Additional Director of Income Tax (Investigation) on February 20 at Albuquerque House in Pandeshwar.

Addressing the gathering B.R. Balakrishnan Director General of Income Tax (Investiation) said that on the investigation front, the directorate has filed around 160 cases over the last two to three years.Supreme Court has to take stringent view on black money and request the chief justice of Karnataka high court to set up special courts to deal with the pending cases.

B.R. Balakrishnan, Director General of Income Tax (Investiation), Karnataka and Goa, and Kishore Kumar Vyawahare, Principal Director of Income Tax (Investigation), Bengaluru and others were present at the occasion.
