Puttur: On the occasion of Diamond Jubilee Celebrations, Department of Office Administration of St Philomena College Puttur organized one day workshop on the topic ‘Know Your Skills’ on December 14, 2017 in PG Centre Seminar Hall.

The Registrar (Evaluation) of Mangalore University Prof. A M Khan in his inaugural address said, ‘In the present day scenario, administrative and support staff are playing a significant role as a step between teachers and students’.

The Campus Director and Chairperson of PG Studies of the college Rev. Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro in his key note address said, ‘Administrative staffs are the face of the institution.’

The Principal Prof. Leo Noronha, Retired Deputy Tahsildar Mr. J P Rodrigues and the Principal of St Philomena PU College Rev. Fr Vijay Lobo participated as the guests of honour.

The Secretary of Catholic Board of Education, Mangalore Rev. Fr Gerald D’Souza presided over the programme.

Ms. Sahana Rao and team performed the prayer. The Office Superintendent of the college and the convener of workshop Mr. Victorian Fernandes welcomed the gathering. The senior First Division Assistant Mr. Louis D’Souza proposed the vote thanks. The Second Division Assistants Mr. Sudeep Vas and Mrs. Mariet Shirly D’Souza compered the programme.

In the technical sessions, Mr. Victorian Fernandes, Convener of the Workshop, Mr. Veeru Uppi, Co-Proprietor of Aargees Business Solutions Hubli, Mr. Ramananda, Office Superintendent of MSRS College Shirva, Mr. Krishnamoorthy, Officer of Department of Income Tax, Mangalore and Mr. Venkatesh Mittanthaya of Quality Media Dot Com, Udupi participated as the resource persons. The administrative staffs from various aided, unaided and Government First Grade Colleges affiliated to Mangalore University have participated as the delegates.
