Orientation Programme held at SPC Puttur

Puttur: On the occasion of commencement of new academic year 2018-19, an orientation programme was organised for the students of second and final year Degree at St Philomena College Puttur on June 25, 2018.

The programme was inaugurated by the Campus Director Rev. Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro. In his address he said, ‘In the present day educational scenario, teachers play varieties of role as parent, guide, friend, advisor and philosopher. The students must have attitude to listen to the teachers. The academic success of any student is influenced by punctuality, commitment and hard work.’


The Principal Prof. Leo Noronha presented the rules and regulations of the college. He also said, ‘Education empowers good life of an individual. Learning to know, learning to do, learning to live in harmony and learning to be are the four important goals of education.’

Ms. Anuradha Bharadwaj B R and Ms. Sangeetha presented the prayer song. The Student Welfare Officer Dr. Chandrashekar K extended the formal welcome. The Student Welfare Officer Mrs. Bharathi S Rai compered the programme.
