Orientation Programme held at St Philomena College Puttur

Puttur: An orientation programme was conducted for the students of second and final year Degree at St Philomena College Puttur on July 1, 2016. The programme was inaugurated by the Correspondent Rev. Fr Alfred J Pinto. In his presidential address he said, ‘The students who work with discipline and dedication will become good citizens of the country.’

The Campus Director Rev. Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro, in his address said, ‘The main purpose of education is conversion of an empty mind into an open mind.’

The Principal Prof. Leo Noronha presented the rules and regulations of the college. The Student Welfare Officer Dr. Vijaya Kumar M extended the formal welcome. The Vice Principal Prof. Vishnu Bhat proposed the vote of thanks. The Student Welfare Officer Prof. Bharathi S Rai compered the programme.

Puttur: On the occasion of commencement of new academic year 2019-20, an orientation programme was organised for the students of second and final year Degree at St Philomena College Puttur on June 20, 2019.

The Campus Director Rev. Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro inaugurated the Programme and released the Annual Magazine of the College. He said, ‘Every student bestowed with plenty of energy. It is very necessary to use the available resources for the constructive purpose. An educational institution can flourish only with the quality students.’

The Dean of Arts and Associate Editor of ‘Philoprabha-2019’ Prof. Ganapathy s expressed his views about the contributions of the students in bringing out the Magazine.

The Principal Prof. Leo Noronha presented the rules and regulations of the college. He also said, ‘Education empowers every one. Every student has the great responsibility to uphold the dignity of the college. This institution is known for its rich culture. The students must resolve to have involvement only in constructive activities of the college. During the last six decades of its tenure, this institution has earned good reputation.’

Mr Satwik Bedekar presented the prayer song. The Student Welfare Officer Mrs. Bharathi S Rai extended the formal welcome. The Student Welfare Officer Dr K Chandrashekar compered the programme.
