Mangaluru: The I PU students of St Agnes PU College were welcomed with enthusiasm by the college.

The smiling and excited faces of the students added a new vigour to a dull and gloomy day. The newcomers were addressed by the principal Sr Shamita who put them at ease and made them feel welcome. She briefed them about the rules and regulations as well as the decorum to be maintained as a student of this prestigious institution.

At a later session, the parents were addressed by Shalini Aiyappa, head of department of Psychology, St Aloysius College. She spoke about ways to deal with their wards who are at a sensitive and crucial point in their lives. She asked them to remain open to communication with their children and be good listeners. She stressed on the need to provide specific rules and guidelines with regard to technology used. The parents were appreciative of the inputs given to them on ways to handle and guide their children towards a better tomorrow.
