Mangaluru: Rajya Sabha member Oscar Fernandes said that Congress is ready and well-equipped to face next Assembly elections. Speaking to reporters during his visit to city, he said Congress will surely do well in upcoming assembly elections.
“When Dr G Parameshwar was made minister, a new KPCC chief should have been chosen. But due to various reasons, the post could not be filled and the same person continues till today. But definitely a new KPCC chief will be appointed soon, ” Oscar added.
“The government is serious about the effective management of drought situation in state. The chief minister has instructed all deputy commissioners to make sure that drinking water problems are solved in all districts and be given top priority. And all the deputy commissioners are working in the same direction,” he said.
