Oscar Frenandes wants Congress candidates to win GP elections

Kundapur: MP Oscar Fernandes asked the Congress workers to work for Congress candidates in upcoming Gram Panchayath elections and make sure they win. He was speaking at a meeting of Kundapur Block Congress workers held at R N Shetty Mini Hall here.

Praising the leaders of Congress party for taking active role in Panchayat Raj system, he said the contribution of Late Rajiv Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi and Manmohan Singh can never be forgotten.

Criticizing BJP, he said " BJP dreams of making India Congress-free, but it is not possible at all. People have identified the achievements of the Congress party and the voters will give fitting reply to BJP."

District Congress president and MLA K Gopala Poojary presided over the programme. MLC Pratapchandra Shetty, KPCC member M A Gafoor, district Congress member Ashok Kumar, district Congress vice-president Hiriyanna Chatrabettu, party leaders Dinakar Shetty, Manigopala, Devaki Sannayya, Jyothi Putran, municipal council members, and party supported candidates were present.
