PU girl student commits suicide

Puttur: A PU student allegedly committed suicide at her residence in Nelyadi. The police have identified the victim as Anu Prakash, a resident of Tekumkatil near Shiradi.

She had written her II PU exam and taken the CET recently. According to police sources, Anu used to reside with her mother and elder brother, who was a lorry driver.

Anu hanged herself from the ceiling with a sari, when she was alone at home. The reason for her taking the extreme step is not known. A case has been registered.
