Mangaluru: Former minister and senior BJP leader Krishna Palemar condemned the allegations that Deepak Rao’s murder suspects are BJP members. He has asked the general public not to pay heed to wrong and baseless news. Deepak Rao, a BJP activist, was murdered in Katipalla on January 3.

“In relation to Deepak Rao's murder, there is a false news being circulated via texts in WhatsApp that the arrested people are the active members of the BJP minority cell and have worked for the former minister Krishna J Palemar during the previous assembly elections. This is absolutely false, baseless and misleading news.

In midst of the tension created due to the situation which has disturbed the peace and unity in the region, we are working day and night to rebuild the peace in the region. But, it seems that legislator Moideen Bava and his followers, under his command, are spreading this false news to disturb the peace,” the statement read.
