Parish feast: Our Lady of Miracles church, Mangalore

Published On : 09 Jul 2022   |  Reported By : media release

The parishioners along with the parish clergy and religious celebrated the parish feast in honour of the patroness Our Lady of Miracles today after two long years. Parish feast is a time where the faithful thank God for his abundant blessings and protection throughout the year. This years feast was special as it was celebrated after two years. The pandemic had halted all major celebrations in the past.

Msgr Maxim Noronha, the Vicar General of the diocese of Mangalore was the main celebrant of the Solemn mass, concelebrated by the parish clergy and priests from the deanery. The theme of the feast was Mary’s response to God’s call; Let it be done to me according to Your word.

Msgr Maxim in his reflection stressed on the importance of listening to God’s word as Mary did. Quoting from prophet Isaiah, one can be fruitful in life one listens to the word of God. Mary listened to God’s word and bore the author of life, and her mission was fruitful.

The parish priest Fr Bonaventure Nazareth thanked everyone for being part of the celebration and actively taking part in the activities of the church all throughout the year. Donors for the feast were honoured at the beginning of the mass.

Masses tomorrow are at 6, 7, 815 (English Solemn mass), 930 am and 5pm

The parish clergy and all the parishioners wish you all a very happy feast of Our Lady of Miracles. May Our Lady intercede for all of us.
